Of the 900,000 pages analyzed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Only 2.5% were \u201cpure AI\u201d which means ; nearly all of the content was generated without human editing.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">25.8% were \u201cpure human,\u201d showing no significant AI traces.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">The vast majority\u201471.7% were a blend of human and AI content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Among these hybrid cases, the levels of AI use varied:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Around 25.86% had moderate AI input (11% to 40% of content).<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">20.50% showed substantial AI use (41% to 70%).<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Another 15.51% displayed dominant AI authorship (71% to 99%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2730 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"481\" height=\"451\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image5.png 481w, https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image5-300x281.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 481px) 100vw, 481px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So, while full automation is not yet the default, what we are seeing is the rise of a hybrid publishing model. Writers and creators are using AI as co-pilots and mainly for drafting intros, summarizing research, rewriting content in different tones or filling out outlines in seconds.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"from-gmail-to-slack-to-linkedin-ai-is-everywhere\"><\/span><b>From Gmail to Slack to LinkedIn- AI is Everywhere\u00a0<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2731 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image2-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image2-1.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image2-1-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What is fueling this trend? The answer is deceptively simple that generative AI is everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>Generative AI is no longer just a separate tool you open when needed. It is integrated right into the platforms you use every day. Open Google Docs and you are offered help drafting paragraphs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2732 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image4.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image4-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Gmail also offers you AI-suggested email replies. Slack summarizes long threads with bots. And what not? LinkedIn suggests post topics and hashtags using AI. Even Grammarly, originally just a grammar tool, now includes rewrite and tone adjustment capabilities powered by generative models.<\/p>\n<p>As Ryan Law, VP of Content at Ahrefs, aptly pointed out in a recent X post:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/thinking_slow\/status\/1924496375976214655\">https:\/\/x.com\/thinking_slow\/status\/1924496375976214655<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis blew my mind, but the truth is, it&#8217;s actively DIFFICULT to avoid generative AI today. Even ignoring ChatGPT, generative AI is in Google Docs and Gmail, in Slack and Grammarly, in LinkedIn and X. Generated text is spreading through the fabric of the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once you notice it, you realize that the AI-generated content is not coming, it is already here. Ahrefs also surveyed 879 content marketers and the results speak volumes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">87% admitted to using AI to either create or assist in content creation.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Only 13% said they do not use AI at all.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And the most common content type generated with AI? No surprise it is blog posts. The demand for fresh content, the time constraints and the repetitive nature of SEO-driven writing make it a perfect candidate for generative tools.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"what-this-means-for-seo-content-credibility-and-the-future-of-web\"><\/span><b>What This Means for SEO, Content Credibility and The Future of Web<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>So what happens to the internet when most new content is written, in parts by AI tools?<\/p>\n<p>First there is concern about content saturation. If generative AI tools make it easy to flood the web with optimized, well-structured content then it becomes harder for genuinely original voices to stand out.<\/p>\n<p>Search engines like Google must now work harder to differentiate between content that is merely high-quality in structure and content that carries real experience and originality.<\/p>\n<p>Second, trust becomes a critical factor. How do readers know whether what they are consuming is based on genuine human thought, emotion or experience not just from LLM (Large Learning Modules).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"can-ai-content-be-detected%e2%80%94and-should-it\"><\/span><b>Can AI Content Be Detected\u2014and Should It?<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Ahrefs&#8217; new AI detector, bot_or_not, will soon be available for all users inside the Site Explorer\u2019s Page Inspect tool. While no AI content detector is perfect, Ahrefs acknowledges this and frames it within context.<\/p>\n<p>As Ryan Law notes:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo AI detector is 100% accurate, but it doesn\u2019t have to be 100% accurate to be extremely useful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Much like how SEO professionals rely on imperfect metrics like search volume or backlink counts, content creators can still benefit enormously from AI detection tools to gain insights, benchmark against competitors or track trends.<\/p>\n<p>For example, this tool allows you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Estimate how much AI content appears in your target SERPs.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Understand which competitors rely heavily on generative content.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Correlate AI usage with performance metrics like keyword rankings, traffic and backlinks.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Make strategic decisions about how much AI to integrate or avoid in your content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The takeaway is not that AI is replacing us.
