In a significant move to accelerate the integration of its cutting-edge artificial intelligence into consumer products, Google has appointed Koray Kavukcuoglu<\/a> to the newly created role of Chief AI Architect.<\/p>\n

Kavukcuoglu, who has been serving as the Chief Technology Officer of Google DeepMind, will now report directly to Google CEO Sundar Pichai.<\/p>\n

The appointment underscores Google’s commitment to bridging the gap between its world-leading AI research and tangible product innovation.<\/p>\n

The company aims to streamline the process of embedding its powerful AI models, such as the Gemini family, into its vast suite of products, from Search and Android to its burgeoning hardware endeavors.<\/p>\n

In a memo to employees, which is now in public domain, Pichai outlined the strategic importance of this new role.<\/p>\n

“Kavukcuoglu will help with product strategy and ‘accelerate how we bring our world-leading models into our products, with the goal of more seamless integration, faster iteration, and greater efficiency,'” Pichai wrote, a statement the company later confirmed.<\/p>\n
