Unlike traditional search results, it feels more like an AI assistant:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/images.seroundtable.com\/google-ai-mode-agentic-1755775186.gif\" alt=\"Explaining AI Mode\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">It synthesizes information from multiple sources.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">It uses conversational follow-up, much like ChatGPT or Gemini.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">It supports multimodal queries\u2014text, images and even voice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Google\u2019s words, AI Mode is \u201cparticularly helpful for queries where further exploration, reasoning or comparisons are needed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So instead of typing \u201cbest Italian restaurants near me\u201d and scrolling through endless blue links, you can ask AI Mode and it will give you a curated, reasoned, context-aware response and sometimes even make the reservation for you.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"the-expansion-from-labs-to-180-countries\"><\/span><b>The Expansion From Labs to 180 Countries<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>AI Mode first appeared in March 2025 in the U.S. within Search Labs. By May, at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/google-i-o-2025-what-seo-specialists-must-know-2736\/\">Google I\/O,<\/a> the company announced it would roll out to all U.S. users.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>June 2025:<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/google-expands-ai-overviews-in-search-globally-1127\/\">Full rollout<\/a> in the U.S.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>June 24, 2025:<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stanventures.com\/news\/google-ai-mode-in-india-3498\/\">Expansion to India<\/a> via Search Labs.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>July 2025:<\/b> Rollout in the UK.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>August 2025:<\/b> Now available in 180 countries and territories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And yes, it is still limited to English only for now but Google has hinted at expanding language support soon.<\/p>\n<p>That is fast. In less than six months, AI Mode has gone from a small experiment to a global feature.<\/p>\n<p>So, I ask myself: If AI Mode can scale this quickly, how long before it becomes the default search experience for billions of people?<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"new-features-of-agentic-and-personalization\"><\/span><b>New Features of Agentic and Personalization<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The latest rollout is not just about geography. Soon, Google says, it will handle local service appointments and event tickets.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine this: instead of finding a plumber\u2019s website, clicking through and making a booking, you could ask AI Mode and it would handle the entire process.<\/p>\n<p>That is not a search anymore. We called this execution.<\/p>\n<h3><b>2. Personalized Preferences<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>In the U.S., users who opt into AI Mode via Labs will now see personalized results based on their interests.<\/p>\n<p>Starting with dining, the AI learns your tastes and suggests new restaurants or caf\u00e9s accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>This is a big step. For years, Google has personalized results subtly but AI Mode pushes personalization front and center.<\/p>\n<h3><b>3.
