Google and Figma are joining forces to make design faster and smarter. With Google\u2019s Gemini 2.5 Flash now built into Figma, designers can generate visuals and make edits in seconds, cutting lag time by half and opening a new chapter in real-time creative work.<\/b><\/p>\n

Designers live in moments of flow. Ideas take shape until the tools slow them down. That pause between inspiration and execution has always been the frustrating part. Now, Figma and Google say that the delay could finally disappear.<\/span><\/p>\n

In an <\/span>announcement<\/span><\/a>, Figma and Google Cloud revealed that <\/span>Gemini 2.5 Flash<\/span><\/a>, Google\u2019s lightning-fast generative AI model, is officially integrated into Figma\u2019s design platform. The goal is to help creators move from thought to finished image with minimal waiting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Early results show Figma\u2019s \u201cMake Image\u201d feature now works twice as fast, with latency dropping by 50%. Designers can generate visuals almost instantly and stay immersed in the creative process.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abhishek Mathur, Figma\u2019s vice president of platform engineering, explained that every second AI gives back to a designer is time they can spend solving bigger design challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n
