Search Console Performance Report Gets Fresher Data

The long wait of webmasters has now come to an end. Google on Monday announced that the performance report in search console has been upgraded with improved data freshness based on the feedback of the users.
The webmasters can now find fresh data in the Performance Report under the search console, which has been instrumental in helping websites identify the site performance. With the new search console update, webmasters can now see data that can be less than a day old.
Performance report, which was integrated into the new search console, has enabled webmasters to better understand organic traffic, top traffic driving keywords, most visited page and audience demography. Despite these pros, the performance report lacked freshness, and this was a major concern for the webmasters.
Putting an end to the worries, Google announced via its official webmaster twitter account that the new search console update will display data as recent as less than a day old!

According to the official Webmaster Central Blog, “With the new fresh data, users can now see data as recent as less than a day old – a significant improvement compared to the previous few days.”
The biggest beneficiaries of this new update are webmasters as they can now track the daily performance of website or even compare the weekend performance vs weekday performance. It also makes it easy for webmasters to see if a technical fix or a content upgrade has worked in favor.
The new Performance Report also comes with the details of the data time zone, which by default in Pacific time zone. Even though the users cannot customize it, this adds a level of option for the webmasters to interpret the data compared to the local time zone or integrate it with other sources such as Google Analytics.
The official blog post also says that fresh data point will be replaced with the final data point after a few days. Since it is more real-time, Google cautions webmasters that the fresh data may change from time to time before being finalized.
In addition to this, Google also announced that it has made it easy for webmasters to now export the data by choosing the date range. Webmasters can either explore the explore data in the search console or export the chart. This new feature will enable a more seamless way to analyze and understand the search trends over time.
